ST. CLOUD -- After going through cancer treatments many women just want to feel confident and beautiful again, this is where Wigs For Women steps in.

The St. Cloud non-profit was started in 2012 by a group of cancer survivors.

Robin Ott is the founder and president of Wigs For Women, she says the motivation to start the organization, came to her while she was in treatment.

"While I was going through my treatments, I had a friend who came to me who was diagnosed with cancer and was extremely distraught because she would have to go through Chemotherapy and would be losing her hair."

Their annual fundraiser is Saturday night at the River's Edge Convention Center, it runs from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Ott says it is a family-fun event.

"Cancer affects everyone, not just the patients, but the sisters and brothers and family too, and that's part of the reason why we have this set up as a family event."

The event includes, a hair donation cut and style, group games, and live music along with raffle drawings and henna tattoos. Tickets are available for $20 online and $25 at the door. Kids under 12 are free.

The money raised goes to CentraCare Health's Breast Center.
