ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud area's annual diaper drive known as Operation Baby New Year is underway. Organizers are collecting diapers now through New Year's Day.

Volunteers Scarlet Revolver and Sarah Drake were on the News @ Noon Show Wednesday talking about the diaper collection.

Yeah, we're both moms too, we know how much diapers cost and how stressful that can be, so we're just here to speak up for the moms who are having to choose between diapers or buying food.  So it's really an important cause and we hope that everyone will show up and donate diapers.

Operation Baby New Year has teamed up with the local Target stores. Right now you can get a $15 Target gift card when you spend $75 on diapers, wipes, and baby toiletries.

There are five local drop-off locations.

They also have some events lined-up including live music at Jule's Bistro Thursday and next Thursday, and event at Beaver Island Brewing next Wednesday, at the grand finale party on New Year's Day at the Pioneer Place.
