Simulated Nuclear Incident Planned for Tuesday at Monticello Plant

MONTICELLO - The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is planning a simulated nuclear incident exercise tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant.

The exercise will test the capabilities of all responsible agencies.

Residents in areas near the nuclear plant should not be alarmed by emergency responders in and near the facility tomorrow (Tuesday).
