BECKER -- One man is hurt and one woman is okay after a motor vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash yesterday (Friday) shortly after 6:00 pm.

Becker Chief of Police Brent Baloun, says a Becker officer responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 14000 block of Bank street in Becker.

The officer pulled over 39-year-old Jason Yort of Becker and a female passenger from Becker. After verifying information It was learned that Yort  had an warrant for his arrest.

Yort and the female then jumped into the vehicle and fled the scene causing a vehicle pursuit to start. The pursuit started south of Becker toward Monticello and through the city of Big Lake ending with the vehicle crashing near Highway 10 and 168th street.

Yort was taken to Monticello Hospital for minor injuries and both him and the female were released.

Yort was then taken to Sherburne County Jail and was arrested for the warrant. He is booked in for pending charges of fleeing in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and other various traffic offense.
