MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota United soccer club has scheduled an exhibition against a team from Mexico to be played at Target Field this summer, a first for the sport at the home of the Minnesota Twins.

Minnesota United announced Monday that the Loons will face Club Leon in a friendly match on June 25. The two teams met last year at the National Sports Center in Blaine, where the team trains. Former Minnesota United star Miguel Ibarra now plays for Club Leon, which competes in Liga MX, Mexico's top division.

The ballpark will be configured with end lines stretching from the first-base line to the left-field wall.

Minnesota United currently competes in the North American Soccer League. The club will move to Major League Soccer in 2017 or 2018.
