MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minnesota man has been indicted on a federal charge that he stole more than $182,000 from ATMs while working as an armored truck driver.

Thirty-one-year-old Christopher James Diestler (DEEST'-lur) was charged this week with one count of bank larceny.

Diestler was arrested and made an initial appearance in federal court.

Prosecutors accuse Diestler of stealing money from bank ATMs in west-central Minnesota and in Wahpeton, N.D. The thefts allegedly happened over a seven-year period, from March 2005 through March 15, 2012.

His defense attorney declined comment Friday.
