Creator of Minnesota DNR EagleCam Passes Unexpectedly
You know how much I love to follow the Minnesota DNR EagleCam and the Minnesota DNR FalconCam. Many of you have now joined in this season to follow our Raptors as they are getting ready to watch their young leave the nest.
I was saddened by the news that Lori Naumann, who was known for her creation of the DNR EagleCam, has passed away.
WHO WAS LORI NAUMANN?
Lori Naumann was a long-time employee of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. She was the creator of the DNR EagleCam, which we have all come to know and love, and also partnered on the DNR FalconCam.

She led the Nongame Wildlife Program's tax-time donation campaigns and partnered on many of the critical habitat license plate options that we have as well.

THE MINNESOTA LOON RESTORATION PROJECT
Lori was also an Ambassador and hands-on field technician with the Minnesota Loon Restoration Project, and she also helped establish the nongame permitting process.
WORKING HER MAGIC THROUGH THE MINNESOTA DNR
She had been a dedicated employee and public servant for 39 years. For 35 years, she worked with the DNR, building relationships throughout the department, area partners, and the public, making sure that wildlife and conservation were a part of our everyday conversations here in Minnesota.
Lori passed away unexpectedly. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, and her contributions to conservation here in Minnesota will always be remembered.
MAKE A DONATION IN HER MEMORY
With the EagleCam and FalconCam going strong during this spring season, a great way to show your support for all Lori has done for conservation in Minnesota would be to donate in her honor.
