Lane Closures Planned for I-94 Near Monticello

MONTICELLO -- Additional lane closures on I-94 will make travel more difficult for motorists between St. Cloud and the Twin Cities.

Starting Monday, you may encounter non-rush hour delays as overnight lane closures go into effect. The closures will be from the Crow River bridge near Highway 241 in St. Michael to County Road 18 in Monticello. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane at times.

The closures are needed as crews resurface and repair the road, install a high tension median guardrail and make other road repairs.

Motorists are already dealing with single-lane traffic between St. Augusta and Monticello.

It's unclear when the work is expected to be completed.
