ST. ANNA, Minn. (AP) - A couple from St. Anna looks forward to the return of a special duck and her mate each spring at their lakeside home.

Rose and Chet Blascziek first noticed the mallard hen four years ago when she hobbled up to the bird feeder in their backyard. The duck they've named Flo only had one leg. Spring after spring, Flo and a companion returned. Rose Blascziek figures the chances of a lame duck making it through four years is pretty slim.

This week while the couple was cleaning up their flower bed, they discovered Flo's nest and two eggs. The Blasczieks haven't seen Flo and her mate since last week, but are hopeful they'll return and they'll be able to watch the ducklings hatch.
