Darwin is a small town in central Minnesota with a population of 348 according to the 2020 census.  It is located in east-central Meeker county and is the nearest town to Lake Darwin, Lake Stella and Lake Washington.  It was platted in 1869 and was named for E. Darwin Litchfield, a major stockholder of the St. Paul and Pacific Railroad.
