Driver Dies in Crash with MnDOT Snowplow
FLOODWOOD (AP) - The State Patrol says a 19-year-old man was killed when his pickup collided head-on with a snowplow in northeastern Minnesota.
The crash happened around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 2 east of Floodwood.
According to the patrol, Winston Lahti of Brookston was driving his pickup eastbound on the two-lane highway when he swerved into the westbound lane and collided with a Minnesota Department of Transportation snowplow.
Lahti was killed. The plow driver was hospitalized with noncritical injuries.
The road was wet at the time.
