GLENWOOD (AP) - Pope County authorities say an apparent victim of domestic violence shot and killed a man who allegedly assaulted her for more than five hours and repeatedly threatened to kill her.
The medical examiner's office in Anoka County says 25-year-old Anthony Ray Tullis died Wednesday from a gunshot wound.

Pope County deputies responded to a 911 call late Wednesday from the home in Gilchrist Township. Tullis shared the home with Ivy Winter Reutzel-Morrell.

She told investigators she'd shot Tullis, who was found dead inside.

A preliminary investigation says Tullis had assaulted her in a bedroom for hours, until she gained control of his rifle and shot him.

She has not been arrested or charged. Authorities said Friday they're continuing their investigation and plan to forward their findings to prosecutors for review.
