Connecticut Equity Firm Buys Cold Spring Brewing Co.
GREENWICH, CT -- Cold Spring Brewing Company, one of the oldest beverage manufacturing plants in the country, has been sold to a Connecticut-based private equity firm.
Brynwood Partners announced in a news release that the deal includes Cold Spring's Third Street Brewhouse and its contract beverage manufacturing business. The Stearns County company produces energy drinks, carbonated flavored waters and brews craft beers.
Cold Spring Brewing was founded in 1874 and currently has over $60,000,000 in net sales and employs approximately 350 workers.
Brynwood Partners President and COO Ian MacTaggart said in a statement, "We look forward to supporting Cold Spring's loyal employees and growing its operations in Cold Spring, MN where it has resided for 143 years and plays such an important role in the community."
Terms of the deal were not announced.
