Close But Not Quite: St. Joe Native Will Not Be The Advice Guru On GMA

NEW YORK CITY -- A man who grew up in St. Joseph will NOT be Good Morning America's new advice expert.  The job has been given to a California woman, not Cooper Boone.

The ABC morning talk show announced today (Friday) the winner of their "Advice Guru" contest is Liz Pryor.

Boone grew-up in St. Joseph and now lives in New York City.  He was one of the four finalist -- along with Pryor -- for the job.

Over 15,000 people applied for the position on the show.
