Former Cathedral and Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey standout Anne Schleper was named to the final roster for Team USA's women's hockey team that will play in Sochi.

The US team is looking for its first gold medal since the 1998 games. Team Canada has won the past three gold medals, with the United States taking home a pair of silver medals and one bronze during that time.

Joining Schleper are fellow defensemen Kacey Bellamy, Megan Bozek, Gigi Marvin, Michelle Picard, Josephine Pucci and Lee Stecklein.

The forwards for Team USA include Alex Carpenter, Kelli Stack, Amanda Kessel, Meghan Duggan, Brianna Decker, Julie Chu, Kendall Coyne, Lyndsey Fry, Hilary Knight and the Lamoureaux sisters- Jocelyne and Monique.

Team USA will take three goaltenders to Sochi: Brianne McLaughlin-Bittle, Jessie Vetter and Molly Schaus.
