Waite Park has seen an uptick of burglaries and theft happening at local businesses over the last month. Criminal activity has seen a big increase in the area of 33rd and 34th Avenue South and the 7th Street South business area.

A Waite Park man was arrested on Sunday after allegedly displaying a knife and threatening a roommate. The incident happened at 8:45 a.m. at 701 7th Street South in Waite Park.

Two people from California are in jail, facing a number of charges, after being arrested by Waite Park police on Sunday afternoon. Police received a call just before 12:30 p.m. that a man was trying to sell a stolen handgun, and that a woman was in a stolen car, at 815 1st Street South.
