Rice Man Jailed on Suspicion of Mail Theft

WAITE PARK -- A Rice man has been arrested after Waite Park Police discovered stolen mail in his vehicle.

Police noticed a suspicious vehicle on February 7th at 7:40 a.m. and made a traffic stop. Officers say they found items in the car believed to be taken from mailboxes.

24-year-old Reece Murphy was arrested and is currently being held on unrelated charges.

The investigation will determine whether state or federal charges are filed against Murphy.

All of the mail has been turned over the the United States Postal Inspection Service and will be returned over the next several weeks.
