Zimmerman Hunter Pleads Guilty to Poaching 13 Deer

A Zimmerman man has pled guilty to a 2014 case of illegally taking multiple deer from the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. On November 1st, 2014, a Minnesota DNR officer found Michael Walz, his wife and their daughter in the Refuge with a recently illegally killed 6-point buck.

District 742 Rolls Out Improved Website With New School Year Around the Corner

With classes starting on Monday, the St. Cloud area school district recently launched a more user friendly website for students and their families. District 742 director of community engagement and communications Tami DeLand says they revamped the site after community complaints about the previous version being difficult to navigate.

$10 Million Wenner Retail Project Gets Approval From Cold Spring

A new $10 million retail project along Highway 23 was approved by the Cold Spring city council on Tuesday night. The plan calls for a new Wenner's Do it Best Hardware and Rental and the corner of Highway 23 and County Road 2. A Super America currently sits on the site.

Authorities Searching For Suspect With Felony Warrants, Last Seen in Paynesville

Paynesville Police searched for a suspect in town with multiple felony warrants on Tuesday, but the man was able to escape authorities on foot. Paynesville Police Chief Paul Wegner says they learned that 26-year-old Ryan Clover was in the area around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hundreds of New Students Moving Into SJU/CSB Thursday

Over 950 new students will be moving into their new homes at St. John's University and the College of Saint Benedict on Thursday. Andy Dirksen oversees first-year orientation activities on both campuses and says students will have time to find their classrooms and meet with advisors.

Father Alfred Stangl Passes Away in St. Cloud at 77

After 52-years in the ministry, well known Father Alfred Stangl passed away in his St. Cloud apartment on Monday. Stangl was 77-years-old. Reception of his body will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21st, at the Cathedral of Saint Mary in St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m.

137 Citations Given by St. Cloud Police During Start of Fall Semester

St. Cloud Police cited 137 people for various offenses in the Southside Neighborhood as a result of the beginning of college fall semester. According to St. Cloud State University officials, of the 137 people cited, 54 or 39 percent are current St. Cloud State University students.
