ROCORI to Vote on Two Levy Questions [AUDIO]

Voters in the ROCORI school district will be voting on two levy questions on Tuesday. Superintendent Scott Staska says, because both questions are asking voters to continue levies that are already in place, property taxes will not increase.

The ROCORI school district will be honoring their Superintendent Scott Staska today (Wednesday). He was named "Minnesota's Superintendent of the year" by the Minnesota Association of School Administrators last fall.

ROCORI School Considers Metal Detectors

The Rocori school board is considering installing metal detectors after two weapons incidents in two weeks at the middle school. That option was considered back in 2003 after two students were shot and killed by another student at Rocori High School.

ROCORI Student To Face Second Degree Assault Charges

A ROCORI seventh grader is expected to be charged with second degree assault after a gun incident at the Middle School Tuesday. Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall says a petition has been filed alleging that the student should be charged.
