SAUK RAPIDS -- Workers at Sauk Rapids' City Hall are packing boxes and getting ready to vacate the building.

The employees will be moving their offices starting on Wednesday.  City services may be reduced or limited during the move.

The Sauk Rapids Police Department will be temporarily moving to the Fire Hall on Benton Drive, while the new City Hall is being built.

The Administrative staff will be temporarily moving to the Public Works building on Summit Avenue.

Tonight's (Monday) City Council meeting will be the last one at the current city hall.  Starting with the January 24th meeting, all council meetings will be held at the fire hall.

The city has to be completely moved out of city hall by the end of the month.  The new city hall will be built on 2nd Street North near the Post Office.
