
Update: Bittman 1 Of 3 finalists For Elk River Job
ELK RIVER - Sauk Rapids-Rice Superintendent Dan Bittman is now one of just three finalists to become the next superintendent in Elk River. The District 728 school board cut the field of candidates in half during their meeting Wednesday night.
The other two candidates are William Gronseth of Duluth and Michael Funk of Albert Lea.
Community input meetings with the three candidates will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week. Bittman's input meeting will be on Thursday.
Bittman has been the superintendent at Sauk Rapids-Rice since 2010.
District 728 operates schools in Elk River, Otsego, Rogers and Zimmerman.
