SILVER BAY, Minn. (AP) - Cliffs Natural Resources says it plans to restart two idled production lines at Northshore Mining in 2014 to meet demand.

The lines have been down since January due to dwindling demand for pellets and about 80 people were laid off, between Silver Bay and Babbitt. About 600 people work at Northshore.

Reports say a schedule to restart production and increase the workforce will be developed in the coming months.
