There Will Be So Much To Do This Week in Sauk Centre

A week of fun has kicked off in Sauk Centre, as their “Margaritaville on Main Street” is underway.

On Wednesday, starting at 11, Bear Trap Crazy Days will feature an all-day Happy Hour with $3 rails and taps. Then at 6 in Sinclair Lewis Park, South Meats North Food Truck will begin serving ahead of the weekly free concert, this week features Dana and the Bottlerockets. 

Thursday morning, there will be a quilting program starting at 10am at the First Lutheran Church.  

Also on Thursday, it will be a great day to find some deals at the Lions Club will hold their community Yard Sale at the Sauk Centre Lions Fairy Lake Park Shelter.  

From Noon to 1 there will be a special edition of the Chambers Third Thursday’s Networking events. 

Also starting at Noon, the Crazy Daze Sales will start in downtown Sauk Centre.  

For Senior Citizens in Sauk Centre, there will be an ice cream social from 2-4, which will feature $4 carry outs. 

Additional deals can be found at the American Legion Auxiliary Garage Sale from 4-8. 

The Soapbox Derby classes will be held starting at 5:30 with the Boy Scouts and the American Legion. 

To wrap up Thursday, there will be “buy one get one free” tickets at the Mainstreet Theatre for the 7 to 7:30 showtimes. This is made possible by the Sauk Centre Chamber of Commerce. 

On Friday, there is a full day of events planned including: 

The American Legion Auxiliary Garage will continue, running from 8am-6pm at the American Legion. The Lions Community yard sale will also continue Friday from 9am-3pm.  

All day on Friday, the Crazy Daze Sales continue in downtown businesses.  

From 11-2, there will be plenty to eat during the Food Truck Friday at Minnesota National Bank. 

The annual Medallion Hunt will start at 3pm. 

The love of Food Trucks continues at Sinclair Lewis Park at 6pm ahead of live music from the Honey Badgers which starts at 7:30.  

Friday night brings a lot of fun for the kids, first with the Kiddie Parade starting at 6:30. Then at the Sinclair Park Picnic area, Mr. Fun will be on hand with giant bubbles, hula hoops and more for the kids. 

The evening wraps up with fireworks scheduled to start around 10pm at Sinclair Lewis Park. 

There will be a second full day of activities around Sauk Centre on Saturday starting with the 5k and 1 mile fun run and walk at Sinclair Lewis Park. 

Crazy Daze Deals continue at downtown businesses.  

The American Legion will be in its final day running from 8am-1pm at the American Legion.  

From 9-3, there will be a craft and vendor fair at Sinclair Lewis Park. 

If you like classic cars, there will be a cruise-in car show from 10-2 in downtown Sauk Centre on Sinclair Lewis Avenue. 

There will be a lot of family activities and games at Sinclair Lewis Park from 11am-3pm. 

The cities parade will be held at 7pm, and a street dance followed by a street dance from 8:30pm until 12:30 am.  

The week of festivities wraps up on Sunday with the check-in for the Soapbox Derby check in starts.  

And the final event will be live music at Sinclair Lewis Park with a focus on teaching human beat boxing from 3pm-5pm.  

To this point, the weather looks fantastic for the week of fun, and fellowship in all the activities in Sauk Centre.
