The St. Cloud Rox have won 3 straight game to get back to .500 after beating Alexandria at home 12-9 Friday night. St. Cloud came from down 4-3 to take the lead with 6 runs in the 3rd inning. Phil Imholte continued his hot hitting going 2-3 with 4 RBIs and Andy Henkemeyer was 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI for St. Cloud. Ben Meyer started the game for the Rox and threw 5 innings with 5 earned runs allowed to get the win.

Another full day of events are planned today (Saturday) in Waite Park for their 48th Annual Family Fun Fest.

The Sartell Summerfest kick-off today (Saturday) with the grand day parade at 10:00 a.m.

The Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society is hosting their popular "Music in the Gardens" series again this summer. Each concert begins at 3:00 p.m. Tomorrow (Sunday) is their first event with the group Granite City Brass performing.

The Twins called up first baseman Chris Parmelee from triple-A Rochester and sent righthander Cole DeVries to triple-A Rochester to make room for Parmelee. Parmelee was batting .375 with 4 homeruns and 12 RBIs at triple-A. He was hitting .179 in 27 games with the Twins to begin the season. DeVries was 1-1 with a 4.20 ERA in 3 starts for the Twins.

The St. Cloud Rox won 7-1 at Alexandria Thursday night for their 2nd straight win. Andy Henkemeyer hit a grand slam homerun for the Rox and Phil Imholte was 2-3 with a run scored and 2 RBIs. Zach Hirsch threw 5 innings with 4 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win for the Rox. Tony Mollica threw 4 shutout to get the save for St. Cloud.

The Cathedral baseball team defeated Albany twice Thursday night at Dick Putz Field. The Crusaders won 7-1 in game 1 before downing Albany 7-4 in 8 innings in game 2. Jeff Fasching threw 4 1/3 innings with 1 hit allowed to get the win in game 1. Drew Peschel singled in the game-winning run in the 8th inning for the Crusaders in game 2. Albany led 4-0 in game 2 before Cathedral came back.

The St. John's Prep baseball team won 3-2 in game 1 of the section 5A championship Thursday but the Johnnies needed to beat Browerville twice. Browerville won game 2 8-3 to win the section title. St. John's Prep lost 2 key players to injury on the day that hurt their chances. Both Brian Walz and Alex Kendall were lost due to injury on the day.

Sartell is celebrating their 20th Summerfest today (Friday) and tomorrow.

The celebration continues today (Friday) in Waite Park. Events run through Sunday in Waite Park.
