The Stearns County Sheriff's Department is holding a youth ATV class Sunday. But, before you register your son or daughter, they must have completed the Youth ATV Safety Training CD. You can get a copy of that CD at the Stearns County Sheriff's Department main lobby.

An Albany area man had an encounter with a would-be thief while checking on his father's home this morning. The man told sheriff's deputies he went to check on his dad's place about a mile south of Albany when he found a man inside the home.

The Winter Storm Warning continues until 7:00 tonight and the heavy snowfall is making it difficult for plows to keep the roads clear. Law enforcement is dealing with some cars off the road, but so far no reports of serious crashes.

Authorities have arrested two 18-year-old men on burglary charges after a break-in at a St. Augusta convenience store. Police arrested Michael Wood of Waite Park and John Gray of Sartell. Both were booked on suspicion of 3rd degree burglary and released pending their first court appearance.
