A Pierz man is in jail after leading authorities on a chase that resulted in him hitting a Sheriff's squad car. A Stearns County Sheriff's deputy pulled over a vehicle on Sunday afternoon for a traffic violation on County Road 17 in Holdingford.

A Sartell man is facing charges after placing a false 911 call yesterday (Sunday). Chief Deputy Bruce Bechtold says dispatch received a call just before 2:00 p.m. that someone jumped from the Sauk Rapids Bridge.

A Melrose woman has been has been hurt in a crash. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says it happened at about 8:45 a.m. this (Tuesday) morning on County Road 13, in Melrose Township, about two miles north of Melrose.

A home that was being remodeled in rural Paynesville has been destroyed by a fire. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says they got the call about a fire at 11:00 p.m. last (Friday) night on King Bee Drive in Paynesville Township.
