As the competition heats up at St. Michael-Albertville, athletes from across Central Minnesota are ready to leave it all on the track.

The boys and girls state cross country meet will take place Saturday November 2 at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course. The St. John's Prep girls team has qualified for the meet having finished 2nd in their section meet. The Cathedral girls cross country has also qualified for the state meet.

The final round of the girls golf state meet took place Wednesday in all 3 classes. In Class AA at the Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan Abby Turkowski of Little Falls finished in 29th place with a 2-round total of 170. Sophia Anderson of Albany finished 37th with a 2-round total of 177.

The first round of the girls state golf meet is in the books. Sartell-St. Stephen's Shayla Nordlund shot an 82 at the Class 3-A meet at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids. She is 14 shot off the pace entering today's final round.

The Cathedral/St. John's Prep Girls Swim and Dive team qualified five athletes for the State Meet this week at the U of M Jean Freeman Aquatics Center. Olivia Scheeler, Madelyn Doschadis,

Several local athletes will hit the trails Thursday in the State Nordic Ski Racing Meet, in Biwabik.

The State Girls Gymnastics Meet is Friday and Saturday and St. Cloud Tech will be competing in both the team and individual championships.

Over 50 teams will gather on March 13th at South St. Paul High School for the Minnesota State Math League State meet.

Several area skiers competed at the State Nordic Ski meet today (Thursday) at Giants Ridge Ski Resort in Biwabik.
