A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new St. Joseph Government Center on Thursday morning. The more than18,000 square foot building will be just to the west of Colts Academy. The new Government Center will be a stand alone building with the potential to one day connect to Colts, which will eventually be converted into a community center.

A St. Joseph woman was severely hurt when she was attacked by two dogs on Monday afternoon. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 61-year-old Julie Lingl of St. Joseph was walking her small dog on the shoulder of the road, past a home.

St. Joseph is working to bring in a new senior facility, with construction expected to start this year. The proposed facility would have 60 independent living units and 24 units for memory care. Commercial features would include a rehabilitation center, hair salon, chapel and bistro.
