A man who pleaded guilty to his involvement in the shooting death of officer Christopher Dewey in Northern Minnesota has been arrested again in St. Cloud. Police arrested 29-year-old Daniel Vernier just before midnight on Monday in the 3400 block of 14th Street North.

Officials are investigating an arson car fire. The incident happened at about 4:30 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning in the 1100 block of 10 1/2 Avenue South.

St. Cloud police are investigating a stabbing attempt. The victim was walking in their alley in the 1800 block of 8th Street North at about 3:00 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning when they were attacked from behind.

A man suspected in a May 30th burglary in north St. Cloud has now been linked to a south St. Cloud burglary. Police say 18-year-old Ahmed Ahmed was initially arrested for a break-in in the 1200 block of 14th Street North. Police have since linked Ahmed to a burglary in the 1900 block of Quarry Road.

A 22-year-old Kimball man was robbed at gunpoint last (Friday) night. St. Cloud police say the incident happened at about 11:00 p.m. in the 700 block of 9th Street South.

St. Cloud police are looking for two suspects involved in an armed robbery. Officers were dispatched to an alarm at the Star Market on 3rd Street North just before 9:00 a.m. yesterday (Wednesday).

St. Cloud police have made an arrest in a hit and run incident. 18-year-old Brett Klein of Sartell is expected to be charged with felony criminal vehicular operation. Officials have also released the name of the girl who was struck. They say 15-year-old Rosalie Ann Post of Clearwater has been released from the hospital.

A St. Joseph woman was ticketed after police say she ran a red light and crashed with another vehicle this morning. St. Cloud Police were called to the intersection of 19th Avenue and 2nd Street North just after 9:30 a.m. Police say 30-year-old Jennifer Lieser was heading north on 10th Avenue when she went through a red light and was hit by a car making a left turn from 10th Avenue onto 2nd Street North.

Several buildings were evacuated last (Monday) night due to a gas leak. St. Cloud police say they were called to the area of Anderson Avenue and 8th Street North just before 7:00 p.m.

A 39-year-old St. Cloud man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 26-year-old woman. Joseph Jenkins and the woman were allegedly fighting in the 1600 block of University Drive Southeast.
