Sauk Rapids-Rice Volleyball

The Sauk Rapids-Rice volleyball team lost 3 games to none to 2nd seeded Kasson-Mantorville Wednesday night in the Class 3-A State tournament quarterfinals at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice volleyball team will play 2nd seeded Kasson-Mantorville in the Class 3-A state tournament quarterfinals at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Wednesday night at 7pm. Storm head coach Karen Beckmann is in her 4th season in Sauk Rapids.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice volleyball team defeated Alexandria 3 games to 1 to advance to the Class 3-A state tournament Saturday. Scores Saturday were 25-22, 13-25, 25-18, and 25-22.

The Sauk Rapids-Rice volleyball team downed Rocori 3 games to 1 Tuesday night in the Section 8-3-A semifinals in Sauk Rapids. Scores were 23-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-16.

Section 83A Playoffs Tech 3, Apollo 1 (Cierra Washington had 12 kills and 16 digs for Tech) Sauk Rapids-Rice 3, Sartell-St. Stephen 2 (Sierra Karls had 26 kills for the Storm. Ashton Haider had 15 digs and 10 kills for the Sabres)

Prep Volleyball: Tech 3, Sauk Rapids-Rice 2 (Kelsey Berg led the Tigers with 16 kills and Katie Honer had 24 set assists for Tech) Cathedral 3, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 0 (Jenna Januschka had 9 kills and Sophie Harris had 20 set assists for Cathedral. The Crusaders are 13-7-1 overall and 6-2 in the Granite Ridge Conference)

Willmar 3, Sauk Rapids-Rice 0; Apollo 3, Rocori 1 (Josie Thelen had 14 kills for Apollo. The Eagles get their first win); Cathedral 3, Princeton 0 (Jenna Januschka had 12 kills and Sophie Harris had 21 set assists for the Crusaders)
