All donations to the Salvation Army in Minnesota and North Dakota are being doubled over the next two days. The organization has announced they've received a matching donation of $2 million for donations made tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.
An extension on how long some people can stay in the St. Cloud homeless shelters has been made permanent. Back in 2011 the city council amended the city ordinance that allowed 10 percent of people staying at a shelter to live there an extra 45 days, beyond the standard 45-day limit.
The Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge Choir visited the Salvation Army in St. Cloud to sing songs about faith, healing, and recovery. The choir is made of teens and adults recovering from a chemical addiction.
