A St. Cloud man has been found competent to stand trial in the murder of his mother, just months after he was found incompetent. Fifty-three-year-old Dean Friese has undergone a handful mental competency examinations with mixed results. In his latest ruling, Stearns County Judge Frank Kundrat accepted a psychologist's findings that Friese can understand the trial process and work with his lawyers.
