Josh Freeman is headed to Minnesota. Freeman's agent, Erik Burkhardt, revealed the move in a one-word tweet Sunday night, saying: "Vikings!!!" Burkhardt then confirmed to The Associated Press in a phone interview that Freeman agreed to a one-year deal for $3 million.
Viking quarterback Christian Ponder has bruised ribs according to Jim Souhan of the Star Tribune and may not play Sunday. Ponder isn't expected to practice today and if he can't play Sunday then Matt Cassel would start in his place.
