A 17-year-old boy is in custody in connection with the death of his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter in Minneapolis. The child's biological father, Max O'Neill, says doctors at Hennepin County Medical Center told him his daughter, Sophia O'Neill, had suffered a ruptured kidney and pancreas and died of internal bleeding.

A federal judge has ordered that a Minnesota man remain held until his trial on charges he tried to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State group. Mohamed Abdihamid Farah appeared in court Thursday for a detention hearing. He's charged with four counts, including conspiracy to support a foreign terrorist group. Prosecutors say he faces up to 53 years in prison if convicted.

Stearns County Farm to Become 2nd in Minnesota to Restock
The Minnesota Board of Animal Health says one of the first farms in Stearns County to be hit by the Midwest bird flu outbreak is set to restock with turkeys in the coming days. It'll be the second Minnesota poultry farm to resume production. The board says a Pope County turkey farm that was the first in the region to record a confirmed case of H5N2 avian influenza was restocked on Sunday.
