It could be an indication of a political race to come. Both U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann sent out fundraising e-mails to their supporters yesterday (Tuesday).

Minnesota Republicans want Congresswoman Michele Bachmmann to take on U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar. In a recent poll conducted by the organization Public Policy Polling 36% say they'd most like to see Bachmann as their Senate candidate, followed by Tim Pawlenty at 20% and Norm Coleman at 14%.

The next election is nearly two years away, but the first poll for Minnesota's U.S. Senate race has already been conducted. And, at least for now, Democrat Amy Klobuchar is sitting pretty comfortably.
