Garnett spent 14 of his 21 seasons with the Wolves but because of a soured relationship with Taylor the Timberwolves will not be retiring Garnett's jersey and giving fans a chance to celebrate his time in Minnesota anytime soon.
A person with knowledge of the decision tells reporters that Kevin Garnett has informed the Minnesota Timberwolves that he will retire after 21 seasons.
The Timberwolves have come to an agreement to sign 6'11 forward Kevin Garnett to a 2-year contract. The 39-year old is expected to play approximately 20 minutes per game next season. Garnett is expected to sign the deal later this week.
