All-Star Student

Eleven year old Aedyn Colville has taken central Minnesota by storm. Her performance of "Quite" from Matilda earned her an audition on Broadway. We caught up with our All-Star Student of the week to find out what her experience was like while on Broadway.

Rebecca Elliott has been involved with music all of her life. Recently she decided to pursue a career in music, and now is getting a jump start in her education. As part of an independent study she helps conduct the Sartell High School Ninth Grade Band.

Riley Johnson has been playing Power Soccer for over eleven years. Now he has been named to the USA National Team, and is preparing to play in the World Cup. Riley is also preparing for college where he plans to study mechanical engineering at the University of Minnesota.

Kiegen Perlberg, also known as Bam Bam, can call himself national champion in the BMX world. This past November he took part in the USA BMX Grands National where he had to win to be number one.

The Red Kettle Campaign can be found all over during this time of year, but until last year you couldn't find it in Albany. This week's All-Star Student brought the Red Kettle to Albany, and has continued it this year. We went to Albany to see how Spencer Linn has been doing.

It's the time of year where volunteering is a stable in all communities. WJON's All-Star Student of the Week is no different, and takes her volunteer work to a new level. She volunteers year round both in the Foley Schools, and around the Foley Community.

Between running in cross country, writing his own original music, and performing in band & choir, WJON's All-Star Student of the Week still finds time to be a high school student.

Jill has been participating in athletics, and student council through out high school. She's worked her way up to tennis captain, and student council president. It's her work, and dedication that makes her an All-Star Student.

Zack is an all around great kid, who not only gives it his all in athletics at Becker High School, but around the whole community of Becker. His determination to do the best he can in all activities has earned him WJON's All-Star Student of the Week honors.

It's not to often a freshman gets to start on the varsity football team, but this week's All-Star Student has been playing on the defensive line for three years, and is only a Junior at Cathedral High School.
