ELK RIVER, Minn. (AP) - About two dozen students demonstrated outside a Rogers High School for the return of a senior suspended over a tweet about a teacher.

Honor roll student Reid Sagehorn recently responded to an anonymous social media post that he was seen kissing a female gym teacher. His father, Curt Sagehorn, says his son tweeted "Actually, yes" in a sarcastic response to the rumor. Sagehorn was suspended until April 22.

Superintendent Mark Bezek tells reporters that Sagehorn violated the district's social media code of conduct. Bezek says the suspension should be a lesson for students to be careful about what they post on social media.

Rogers Police Chief Jeff Beahen says the student who posted the rumor has been withdrawn from the school. He says the case has been referred to prosecutors.
