Senator Pederson Found Some Common Ground in Dayton’s Budget [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - Republican State Senator John Pederson of St. Cloud is critical of Governor Mark Dayton's budget proposal because it increases spending over the next biennium.

However, Pederson says he found some things in Dayton's budget proposal that he could support.  He says Dayton's plan to freeze the statewide business property tax for two years is something he's worked on already.  And Pederson says Dayton's budget would be especially helpful for the St. Cloud Area school district.

Dayton wants to delay paying off the money owed to schools from the school shift, which Pederson says will bring conflict within Dayton's own party.
