ST. CLOUD -- A national education organization is releasing a list with what they say are the top 25 universities with the worst professors. Included on the list is St. Cloud State University - ranked 8th.

The Center for College Affordability and Productivity came up with the list by reviewing ratings based on RateMyProfessors.com.

The website allows millions of students to rate professors on a five-point scale based on helpfulness, clarity and easiness. Users do not have to give their name when writing a review.

SCSU Communications says "using the site as a basis for hard data to determine the 'best' or 'worst' professors is met with much skepticism in scholarly assessments."

The school recently made Forbes list of top universities in the country, even cracking the top 5% in terms of affordability. SCSU also gets good reviews from the federal government's College Affordability and Transparency Center, which allows people to search for a school and review the costs to attend an institution.

Minnesota State University, Mankato also made the list with the worst professors - ranking 13th.

Only the 650 best colleges ranked by Forbes were considered for this study.
