ST. CLOUD -- Jeff Johnson, the Republican candidate for Governor, stopped in St. Cloud today to speak at the Republican Party Victory Office.

"We're barnstorming the state the last week of the election, so we're hitting a lot of central Minnesota today...and [St. Cloud] is our last stop and we have our last debate tonight down in the cities," Johnson says.

Johnson says he appreciates his supporters as election night draws near.

Touring the state is something that can be exhausting, but Johnson says he thinks it is also the most fun part of the campaign.

Greater Minnesota is going to decide this election, I really believe that.

Johnson says he believes that focus in the capitol needs to shift to greater Minnesota, instead of just the metro area.

Johnson is running against incumbent Mark Dayton and Independent candidate Hannah Nicollet.

Polls close at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.
