Meet Zira and Crixus at the Tri-County Humane Society.

Tri-County Humane Society

Meet Zira, a three year old American Staffordshire terrier mix.  She was surrendered because her previous owner developed health issues and could no longer care for her.

This energetic and affectionate canine sure enjoys her toys, but she can only be given those that are the most durable.

In her previous home Zira was friendly with children of all ages who would come to visit.  She does well interacting with other dogs but isn't too fond of cats.

Zira is house trained, knows how to sit and walks nicely on a leash.

Who knows?  Maybe her loving and warm personality would make a great addition to your household!

Meet Crixus, a one and a half year old neutered English Springer mix.  He came to the shelter because his previous owner was moving and unable to take him along.

He is waiting to meet you!

Crixus lived on a farm and got along great with other dogs, cats and livestock.  He has a high activity level and was friendly with all the grandchildren who came over to visit.

Everyone who meets Crixus is smitten by how friendly he is.  He loves going for car rides and would like to play fetch all day!

He knows how to sit and is treat motivated.
