Modern Barnyard To Open This Weekend [VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD -- A new St. Cloud store specializing in refurbished antiques and home decor is ready to open.

Modern Barnyard is holding their grand opening Saturday. Owner Jim Beck says you'll find many restored items inside, including the building itself.

"The building use to be an old motorcycle repair shop and we totally renovated it so it would be a little more modern and have that barnyard feel," says Beck.

The refurbishing of furniture and antiques is a hot trend throughout the country. Owner John Malikowski says along with the retail store they also plan on hosting several do it yourself classes.

"We'll do some basic 101 classes, so take and make classes, and even just bring your own furniture in and bring it here," says Malikowski.

Modern Barnyard will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon until 4:00 p.m. Sunday.

The store is located at 7285 County Road 75.
