MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota State High School League is again considering a proposed policy on transgender student-athletes in high school sports after tabling the guidelines earlier this year.

A board workshop is scheduled for Wednesday ahead of a Thursday board meeting that includes the transgender policy as an action item on its agenda.

The league voted to table the policy in October amid an avalanche of reaction on both sides of the issue. The latest two-page draft includes new language on student eligibility to participate in high school league-sanctioned activities.

League Executive Director Dave Stead says speakers will be allowed up to three minutes to share opinions at Thursday's meeting. They will be alternated based on their support for or opposition to the policy.
