Local Corn Maze Design Unveiled For This Fall's 'Harvest Fun Days

AN UNEXPECTED TREAT

Most weekends I find time to drive to visit my Dad, and on the way, I drive right by the cornfield where Stoney Brook Farms in Foley creates their amazing corn maze each year.

My boyfriend noticed it a couple of weeks ago and said, "Hey! That's where the maze is going to be." although you couldn't see exactly what was being created, you could see some of the twists and turns from the road, but soon enough, the corn will grow too high to see any maze formations.

I thought I would check and see if Stoney Brook had posted the drone footage of this year's theme, and sure enough, they've already posted it. (See below).

'UNDER THE SEA'

This year's theme is "Under The Sea." You can see a mermaid, a starfish, sea turtles, sharks, a dolphin and many other fish. What else can you see?

Of course, you won't be able to see any of it this fall when you try to wind your way through to the end. This year's design covers 35 acres and has over 16 miles of pathways.

There will be three different mazes. They all vary in difficulty and length, and you can try one, two, or all three. It's completely up to you.

NAVIGATING THE MAZE

Getting through the mazes is not as easy as you might think it is. Hopefully, everyone is up for a challenge; however, if you need a little bit of help, grab a paper map at the entrance, or, if you are tech-savvy, grab the QR code that will help you follow yourself on an interactive map on your phone.

NEW ADDITIONS THIS YEAR

Looking for new activities and fun at this year's event? They have some pretty exciting things for you to enjoy! A pedal-powered roller coaster, a pedal cart track, a corn pit, a scavenger hunt, and lots more.

The event will be taking place from September 14th through October 27th, and general admission is just $10, with children 3 and under admitted for free.
