ST. CLOUD -- Labor Day Weekend serves as a last hoorah for Summer 2014 and for Minnesotans, the days of nice weather are numbered.

It's not breaking news, Minnesotans face this change of the season every year but after last winter's record-setting stretches of frigid temperatures, this year seems tougher.

Popular summer hot spots like Munsinger Gardens and Lake George have been less busy as gloomy weather has reminded citizens of the summer's upcoming demise.

Of the few visitors to these spots, the most common remark is that summer in Minnesota is too short.

"It always goes too fast," says one visitor of Munsinger Gardens. "There's a certain sadness at the end of the summer."

Now residents of the upper midwest head into the cold months, counting the days until Summer 2015.
