Governor Dayton Wants The Vikings To Pay More
Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton wants the Vikings to pay for up to half the cost of a new stadium. He says he'd like the Vikings to pay 40 to 50 percent of the cost of a new stadium. The Vikings have said they would pay for 1/3 the cost of a roofless stadium. A roofed stadium is being debated at the state legislature. The Vikings are calling this legislative session critical for them to get a new stadium. The Vikings lease at the Metrodome expires on the end of 2011 season.
