Free Event On Mississippi River this Saturday [AUDIO]
SARTELL - More than 40 free activities will be offered this Saturday on the Mississippi River. The annual "Take a Day OFF" will run from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Stearns County Mississippi River Park north of Sartell.
Spokeswoman Kimberly Thielen Cremers talked with Bob Hughes this (Monday) morning. She says they hold the event to remind local residents about how valuable of an asset the river is for this area.
Some of the events on Saturday include: a three-hour canoe trip, a walk through the Bend in the River Regional Park, and live Minnesota native animals.
All of the events and activities are free.
