Sundays! Outside of possibly going to church and having lunch with your family, what do you look forward to about Sundays?

It's the last day of the weekend, and some people use the afternoon for a chance to take a nap. We’ll need that extra boost of energy during the weekend at some point, right?

Sunday is a popular day to go to the lake. Take the boat or jet skis out for a spin and spend some quality family time.

This Sunday, there’s a cool event that will be held at the lake, but you won’t be the one in the boat or the water.  The “Midwest Ski Otters” Water Ski team will be performing again this Sunday evening starting at 6 with the theme of the program beginning at 6:45.

The Ski Otters have been around since 1995 and look to entertain audiences with their skills on water skis, which includes barefoot performances and a human triangle. There are over 100 members of the group who train year-round for the summer’s slate of shows.

The members of the Midwest Ski Otters are all volunteers.

The group performs for free each Sunday through August at Little Goose Lake in White Bear Lake Minnesota. Each week the shows start at 6pm except the last.  The final show on August 25th will be held at 3pm.

There is free parking along Hoffman Road including several handicap spaces.  There is some bleacher seating available on a first come, first serve basis. But you can also bring a blanket or your lawn chairs and sit along the shoreline and watch the show.

Concessions will be available for sale with the proceeds supporting the Midwest Ski Otters Junior Development Team.

As I said, the weekly performances are free, but donations are accepted to help support this group that has become a staple for the last 25 years.

Little Goose Lake is at the intersection of Highway 61 and County Road F in White Bear Lake.
