It’s hard to believe we are in the middle of July, where has the time gone? It's going by so fast, but there is still plenty of summer left for parents who are trying to find activities to keep their kids busy with.

The Walker Center for the Arts in Minneapolis is offering free art in the garden classes on Friday’s. These classes will continue through August 30th.

The event takes place each Friday from 10am-1pm and you do not have to register ahead of time. The classes will be taught in English and Spanish.

There will be signs pointing the way around the facility, so you won’t have any trouble getting where you need to be. These classes are designed for those 4 years old and up.

They will be doing new projects each week so this could become a routine for you and your child every Friday. This is a perfect way to spend some quality time together and possibly ignite the creative side of your child to come to life.

The Walker Center will have all the supplies needed for each week and will be given out first come, first served.

If you can’t make it to Minneapolis, or even if you can, but you’d like to find other projects to do with your kids, the “Make Art at Home” page is something you can access from their website and utilize for free as well.

There is even a free downloadable coloring book for you to be able to give to your kids too.

The Walker Center is at 725 Vineland Place in Minneapolis.
